This year’s summer definitely came so late and was spent too short! Gone just like that and spent with rains too. On those days when it really gets hot – which I don’t complain about really, I try to get me some frozen yogurt. Shops selling them sprouted like mushrooms in a span of 3 years and even ice cream parlors and gelateria offer them too. There are two shops I frequent though.
What I like about frozen yogurts/froyo is that they go well with fruit flavors. I’m not so certain about what they say about froyos – I’m sure yogurt as is is healthy and when food is taken in moderation, it’s alright. So here are some of the frozen yogurt I had – some I forgot to take photos of, others I can’t find the photos of. ^_^
As mentioned on my other blog, I had a few hours of me-time or more like alone-time walking about in Rome. I braved the crowded streets, took photos of important landmarks, fed my senses with everything Roman. I met people here and there, most of them were tourists too and oh how I love meeting people from all walks of life! We engaged in bits of discussions before going about our businesses – being tourists.
No, I don’t really want to bombard this post with lots of photos so here’s a few. Outside the Vatican was this genius of a musician/street performer. His sign reads “I need money to fix my time machine and go back to the 50’s” – he was playing Elvis! I of course put in some money and noticed as I took a photo that he looks like Johnny Depp! 😛
Budapest, would be one of the unexpectedly beautiful cities we’ve visited – unassuming but totally enchanting, clean and full of surprises. Above photo shows Pest, the eastern, flat part comprising the Hungarian capital. This was shot from the western side or Buda – the other part, when we went up to a castle on a hill. But, before the walking and going up, hubby and I were searching for a lovely spot to have breakfast in. We haven’t had anything for the day and it was already 10!
It’s no secret that I enjoy getting lost around Vienna on purpose. I walk around a lot and often end up on streets with flower shops at the corners, hole in the wall restaurants and even old bookstores and trinket shops. And I always share them on my instagram account (follow me if you
^Bratislava ist bunt. (Bratislava is colorful.) photo by hubby Bratislava and Vienna are perhaps the only capital cities so near each other (Bratislava=Slovak Republic, Vienna=Austria). Just one hour apart! Bratislava is part of the ten countries where the Danube River flows, that’s why cruising from Vienna to Danube is very convenient. However, the same could
Chibog – it’s a slang Filipino word that could either mean food or eating. Looking through it today, I thought that maybe it originated from the Italian word for food, cibo. And it may not be impossible since Italian cuisine is always close to the heart of Filipinos…I for one – its simplicity is what
